Are Airfares included?
Airfares are not included in our tour costs as we know that some people have points tickets, want to travel around the world or are coming from different cities. All flights can be arranged with our Travel Partner- Italk Travel and Cruise for convenience and to assist us in being able to manage our tour in the best way possible.
Is Insurance included?
No. Everyone has personal requirements when it comes to insurance so we advise you of the cost separately. It is a requirement that you must take out comprehensive Travel insurance at time of booking. We offer a 15% discount with our travel partners – QBE or Suresave Insurance.
If you wish to have a room on your own then you can pay an additional amount to guarantee this. If you are a solo traveller then we will pair you with someone of the same gender and approximate age as all of our bookings are based on twin share accommodation.
Should I bring my own bike?
If you are able to then yes you should! Bringing your own helmet, pedals and seat is also advisable. If you wish to hire a bike then we are able to assist you with hire at an additional. Please let us know asap if you require a bike! If you do bring your own bike please ensure that you book an appropriate airline ticket and you check all the rules for carriage of the bike. Make sure our travel agent advises you of any additional charges / requirements / fees that may be incurred for travelling with a bike.
Before you go, you must box your bike for transport. Bici Amour Tours works with a number of Bike bag companies and we can assist you with purchasing one if needed at discounted cost.
What sort of riding skill level should I have?
Our tour will cater for a rider who can manage at least 50km rides at a comfortable pace. We expect that you will have done some training in order to ride on our tours. Having said that, we do cater for a range of fitness however, there may be a chance that we tap you on the shoulder and ask you to get in the bus for a little while to catch up if lagging behind too far for our schedule.
Eating and drinking
Food is very important to us! Breakfast is included daily on tours. Lunches are additional to the tour cost. Our destinations can cater for most dietary requirements. Please let us know if you have any special requirements. Drinking of water is safe in most areas however we do provide you with bottled water daily on the coach and have supplies spare. Staying hydrated is vital especially as the Israeli sun can be quite punishing. We suggest not partaking in over drinking of wine or beer at lunch 😊
We travel by air conditioned bus throughout our tour and in some cases by taxi.
We will provide you with a list of all our hotels 2 months prior to tour commencement. We do this in case there are any last minute changes to our tour group size. All the hotels are comfortable, clean and well located.
We are keeping our tour small intentionally. We want to really look after you so no more than 12 cyclists plus another 8 non cyclists. This gives us a group size maximum of 20 plus our staff, mechanic, photographer, guides and coach driver.
Kids and families
We welcome families on our tours however it is a requirement that an adult is present with kids at all times and if there is a cyclist in the family then there is another adult to be guardian. Kids under 12 receive a discount.
